I don't know how this will be received, but I'd like to say that this is a story first and a game second. The gameplay was really just tacked on to pace the story, and to drive the horror element home a little harder. If you don't find this scary, then fine. I made it short because I know it doesn't stay scary long. Just try and accept this for what it is.

Gemini is a horror game I've been working on for a while. The idea bounced around in my head a bit, taking influences from Eye Spy, Ghoul's Forest, the scary maze game, and more. The story is also original and written by myself, though I did have many influences while writing that as well.

Holy shit... Thanks for the heart attack! The animation was great and the story had a pretty decent background to it. I enjoyed this very much. The jumpscares were alright, but I'd suggest a different kind of method instead of just faces all the way through.

Great game!

I think another review addressed this as well and I definitely agree that different kinds of scares would have spiced this up a lot. The issue is that the limited line of sight makes it kind of hard to integrate more scares when there wouldn't be much to see if I did.

The jump scares got me the first few times but then they were just a nusance. But it was a good game, one problem i noticed though was the fact that it didn't give you enough time to read the notes, but the story of Thomas Silverstein was good, I'm glad that was included.

Kwing responds:

I wasn't aware that the note-reading has a time limit on it. Perhaps it's an unintended side effect of another bug fix?

I don't know how I'm supposed to play this game. If I mouse quickly, I will hit a shadow, and have to start over, and If I mouse carefully, my mouse view shrinks into nothingness, and it becomes unplayable. It's really frustrating, and I don't enjoy it. I wanted to continue reading journal entries, but I just can't do it. It's no fun for me.

Kwing responds:

The fast mouse versus slow mouse is meant to pressure the player. When making the game I understood that players could just search very slowly to never lose, which was why I made the candle shrink. The shrink rate is pretty slow, though, so I think you should still be able to get through the game with a bit of elbow grease.
