when a guy starts having marriage problems, he goes to the praying mantis for help
The drawing style and animation needs a lot of work, and I do mean a lot of work. Shapes and outlines were poorly drawn and the herky-jerky motion and colors made the dialog cards hard to read. The attempt to replicate a scratchy old film was admirable, but didnâEUTMt quite pull it off.
Critiques aside, the flash does show that you have a unique style. There is a good basic narrative in place, and despite everything said above about colors and motion, it is unlike most things I have seen submitted to the portal recently. Keep working on those above-mentioned weak spots and you can turn out some top notch animation. You are not quite there yet, but the effort at expression comes through in this one.
Interesting experimental short. I enjoyed the dark ambient nature within it. I also noticed with careful observation the numbers 666 in the grain illusion for you "dated" camera like perspective. Only one minor complaint was the duration of the short. It would of been interesting delving more deeper in this dark surreal world. I'm a man that lives, thrives and admires horrors of many kind. This right here was again an intriguing flick to observe and understand. I'm going to bestow you 3/5 and a voting power of 3/5. I hope you keep creating more "unique" artistically stirring little pieces and shorts in due time one here, I found it fascinating. I hope you've enjoyed this review. Good day.
'Look my Dear, a punch!' Ahahaha, loved this part because of the pun with my nick.
The movie in general, hm, is a bit disturbing (on the good and the bad side) but it has an nice approach for sure!
