Spraying lasers is very costly but allows you to win a lot easier. If you are having trouble, I would recommend using more lasers. Also try uber helper dude from the main menu! He is uber helpful especially if you upgrade him
This is my first game. Since I was young I had wanted to start making flash games for newgrounds. I decided that I would start with a small familiar game, pong. I later went on to add some little twists for fun and ended up with this. I decided that this was enough practice and that I would start on a bigger game. Well, here is my first game that I did for practice, I hope you enjoy it.
Controls:
p to pause
up and down arrow keys control the pin
w and s also control the pin like the up and down arrow keys
space bar shoots lasers - this will deduct one point from your required 6000 to win
Upgrades:
lasers reflect - makes lasers reflect off of the pins (i.e. you can send back your enemies lasers and the enemy can send back yours)
your pin grows - each time the ball hits your pin your pin grows slightly
enemy pin grows - each time the ball hits the enemy pin, the enemy pin grows slightly
uber helper dude - a little helper dude that helps you beat that mean ol red pin. If you treat him well and win some battles with him on your side you can help him to grow bigger and stronger.

at the main menu i'm gettin all the time a test medal!!
Thank you :). And I'm not sure about the test medal I think it might be an issue with things loading properly. It shouldn't award that medal in the real game, it should only be a debugger thing. Sorry about that.

Hey!
Good job as far as I can tell - good for a first game.
Things you should work on are the graphics obviously and your difficulties. I played until 7 and lost (I'm so full of rage I didn't get the medal). Now I'm back at Difficulty 4 and the bot is seriously playing like Difficulty 7. This wasn't in my first run where I got to 7. It seems like every difficulty is the last one you died after you died. Like even Difficulty 3 is killing me right now. Maybe a bug?
Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked my game :). Yes everyone is complaining about graphics, and I have to admit it really could improve, so for my next game I will definitely improve on this. As for the difficulty, I was considering not making you lose a level when you lose the round. When I realized that this would frustrate the player if they keep losing over and over without winning at all, I decided to deduct a level to allow a win before going to the difficulty that matches the players skill level. However, I also realized that if you kept losing at that level, it would also be very frustrating, so I allowed you to upgrade "uber helper dude", who does in fact help a lot when upgraded. Difficulty is one thing that I really want to perfect so thank you for telling me your opinion on it. As for the bug, I do not know if there is a specific thing one can do that causes it not to work, I have tested the game extensively, if you think you did anything out of the ordinary could you tell me? I really do want to fix it for this game. If not, then thank you for the review anyways, its always nice to know what people didn't like in the game so I can improve on it for later games and eventually make an exceptional game :).
