The reason the mods do not cost money to unlock, is that they have different weaknesses and strengths. Some of the mods can't hit short enemies and some have a bigger bullet but are slower to fire, etc. They're mods for your basic gun. Not new guns.
There is no penalty for death in this game. You don't lose money, you just have to retry the map, possibly change your weapon mod. Different mods work better for different levels.

I'm with everyone else on this. COULD be a great game, but so laggy- on my computer, on the very first level, I lose three hearts every time because the game doesn't display the character until I've been shot. Keep trying.

Great little game with lots of potential, but the sticky/laggy controls are just horrible, I had to stop playing after the first system. Fix this, I'd like to continue playing.

I would love to love this game, but the fact that I can't even see myself walk just kills this for me. I don't think it has anything to do with my computer, as most games run just fine on it. I'm giving you a 3.5 for what looks like a great, but severely unplayable, game.
