This is my very first Flash game! The game itself took a long while to create, using and learning Stencyl. I can't imagine how long a fresh Flash game will take!

I had a number of ideas for this first project. The main reason why I did this was the forthcoming release of New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS, which will introduce several new power-ups to help Mario get thousands of coins. I figure I should be showcasing the original "coin orgy" item--the Switch Block--introduced in Super Mario Bros. 3.

As this is created using Stencyl, the game isn't perfect. There were a number of obstacles to get this game to the best shape it's in now. This includes touching a coin adds one and only one to the coin counter, several collision bounds for individual items, and the occasional lag for collecting coins or having so many items on-screen at one time. But I hope you enjoyed the creativity I put into this. Enjoy!

The game showcases three switch blocks:
Red to switch between red bricks and coins.
Blue to reveal dotted blue bricks and coins.
Green to turn green spikes and spinies into coins.

Controls:
Left/Right Arrows- Move
Z - Jump
X (hold down) - Run
P - Pause Game
R - Restart Level
Escape - Back to Menu

UPDATE v1.02: Turns out there was a little more to do in terms of setting up the medals lol. This update includes an new easy medal to obtain, just to see if it now all works, and it should.
Plus there is some problems with the "Load Data" code blocks that makes everything [object object] or Not A Number, so that's removed temporarily...
Now the main problems remaining is why some of the buttons don't work and why the stage select is multicolored. :-\

Good game

So the game here is pretty good and this was a fun one I like the energy of the levels allthough sometimes it lags on specific levels maybe its on my end, The jumping was nice even when you can try and jump higher, but as a platformer it was a nice one some fun interactivity on this game, I like the mechanics and you do bring on a fun factor onto this game here so nice work

~X~

now thats a good puzzle game

great but frustrating

This is a great game

Once upon a day there was a me.
When I finished a level before "High Leap Act", the game won't let me enter that level. I could enter any level, but not that specific one, and if I wanted to press the back button from the level select, it would fade out and fade in... to the level select.

Then somehow I fixed it and could continue the game.
