EDIT: Ver 1.5 is up. I've tweaked the running and braking a little. Movement should be more fluid now. I've also enlarged the offscreen window, so NPC popup should be nonexistant now. Enjoy and keep up with the feedback!

Sorry for the outline thing. It won't appear again.

LEFT and RIGHT ARROW to move
Z to jump, double jump and glide
DOWN to duck and stop gliding

A Tale of Colours is a nonlinear platform game with heavy emphasis on exploration. In this game you will find:

- A huge world filled with peculiar characters
- Colours and retro pixel graphics
- Powerups and Secret Fighting Techniques
- 16 unique treasures to find
- Gnome legends
- Gnome contraptions
- Gnome guys
- Giant Gnome Statues (just one, actually)
- Coin collecting
- Recycle beams (for game erasing purposes)
- Badly Drawn Stickmen posing as Almighty Spirits
- Mysterious, ubiquitous Save Point Men

Thanks to the Stencyl team and Newgrounds for making all of this possible.
i hope you enjoy your time with it!

very colorful and artistic. i really enjoyed it, but the controls could have been smother. other than that small flaw, very good.

The controls were a lil wonky but I am currently enjoying the game :)

With the redundant note of popular bugs aside, I quite enjoyed the few rare times I glided up waterfalls/downward slides.

The Idol of the People Medal was in a particularly annoying place to find since it was concealed almost perfectly, greatly differing from the rest of the concealed medals. For anyone who needed to find said medal: 035978/863

Lastly, to anyone who couldn't attain the Legendary Treasure Hunter Medal, finish the game in one go.

I would love a sequel to this, hombre

The ending hints at sequel. It better be, because I haven't seen such lighthearted and cool metroidvania in a while. Honestly, this is a great game, even if it could use some polish.
