EDIT: Ver 1.5 is up. I've tweaked the running and braking a little. Movement should be more fluid now. I've also enlarged the offscreen window, so NPC popup should be nonexistant now. Enjoy and keep up with the feedback!
Sorry for the outline thing. It won't appear again.

Super adventure! Running uphill is a little...'sticky', but otherwise I can't think of anything you could do to make this better. Great job!
I got every medal - and I got the toad one last :3

Very well thought out story and fun to play in spare time. However; I do have some complaints. Like many of the other posters; the controls are very awkward. Why couldn't you have made jump the UP arrow instead of Z? Personally, it would have made more sense to switch the functions of UP and Z and maybe made C the combat button; feels more comfortable. Another complaint I have is that when you first walk up to a Ram or such, the sound is just fine, however; the second you walk past its butt the sound seems to glitch, increases the volume by 100%, and has a ear piercing screech. I know this isn't an error on my part because it happens on both my laptop as well as my desktop and happens every, and I mean every, time you walk past a Ram.
All in all, its a fun game to play if you are looking for a fun platformer. Fix those problems and I believe it will be fantastic.

The controls were a lil wonky but I am currently enjoying the game :)
