Resonance is a musical platform puzzle game originally created during the Global Game Jam in 2010 in the Netherlands, where it won both the audience award and the jury 1st prize.

The goal in the game is to collect and play notes to resonate the blocks and alter the level.

Walk around with the arrow keys. Play notes with 1, 2, 3 and 4 (when collected)

Earlier this year Resonance came to iOS (for free).

Added a medal resend button to unlock medals in case they somehow failed to unlock.

Great game. Pretty sprites and music and plenty of well designed levels but a style issue. Given the childlike nature of the game and the ease to make a mistake I expected easier time qualifications. The strict time constraints on most of the levels seems a little out of place but salvageable if the level reset button actually reset time and score. It could, honestly, take longer to quit, and restart a level than to actually complete it.

tl:dr level reset actually resets level (position, time, score, etc)

Also, anyone complaining about the difficulty hasn't actually tried. I finished all levels with 3 stars in less than 30 mins. One practice completion of all and then mop up of anything with 2 stars or less.

This game was very cute. I enjoy the little character and the uniqueness with corresponding notes. Now that's not something you see everyday. I think this was put together well, but I would encourage maybe different music for every level. Maybe spice up and switch up the note colors instead of it being the same colors and put more effort into making the puzzles a lot more difficult. Also, I would see the arrows being pointed in the opposite direction, than the directed. I don't know if it was to just throw off the player from gaining more points that suppose to, but it was interesting!

Very good!

Well Well,it's a really nice game. The backgroundmusic is really nice but the sound for the blogs gets with the time really annoying. But the game makes really really fun

Im hooked to it, addicted cant stop playing it. Musicness should be more awesome in the game, ya know? Best puzzle plat former ever. Fave! At first I thought this would just be another gay plat former that had some nice artwork.

I really enjoy this game. What a phenomenal concept! I think the game suffers only in the fact that the player expects a little more from the challenges. It initially seems like its strictly a puzzle game, but then quickly turns into more of a reflex-testing game. Having to quickly phase in and out music notes is such a pull from the puzzles the game led me to believe I was going to face.

I feel like you weren't sure on wether to make it puzzling or reflex-testing and kind of half-heartedly did both. Id like to see something a bit more concrete in the future.

But anyway, great job overall! Love the hand-drawn aesthetic by the way.

Guilty as charged! It's not easy to come up with 40 levels purely puzzle-based and keep it interesting at the same time. That's why the skill-levels where added :)

Thanks for the comment!
