In FreeRunning Anarchy , you play as an Anarchist who uses the art of Parkour to break into a corporate building and plant a bomb in the basement. You must scale walls and entire buildings while avoiding security guards and lethal traps like electrical boxes and huge metal fans. Try to collect all the anarchy signs to get the highest score!

This game was a two-week group project for User Interface class at Ex'pression College in Emeryville, Northern California.

Other notes:
-Some levels have multiple pathways
-Be careful when you are jumping up or falling down to a place you can't yet. "Hang out" and take your time to investigate the scene for guards or traps.

note a bad start. But the overall mood is no motivating. More love for story and detail is needed. And of corse the game could be better :D
For reference. The art shown here is called "Parkour". Freerunning includes Flips of all kind and is about the freedom to move tyourself where and how you want. Parkour is focused on efficiency.

Certainly impressive for a 2 week project. The colors are a little strange, but it gives it a nice "old painting" look, though I'm not sure if that was the intended effect. The jump controls were a little stiff, but what little controls there were came naturally. It might not really be freerunning, but it's a cool concept nevertheless. The level design did a good job of using the mechanics. I hope to see you guys develop this further!

awesome! this reminded me of old NES games we used to play when younger... :)
Too bad there isn't more variety in gameplay and sounds+music.
Also would have loved to be able to do some more parkour maneuvers which would have made this game a blast to play..also graphics could have used a needed upgrade.
maybe add level objectives for spray painting anarchy signs instead of simply collecting them, something to add to the variety of levels other than running and jumping

Anarchy is being Against using the initiation of force to Govern others.. that's why we oppose Government. This should be called FreeRunning Terrorist.

professionalhit responds:

Maybe you just ignoring the fact that giant conglomerate corporations have more influence on our government than the citizens of our country. I'm well aware of this fact so I decided to base my game on that idea. When we presented our game to our program director he didn't have any complaints with the idea of an anarchist plotting to blow up a corporate building. He actually said it was very "Fight Club-esque."
I'm sorry we don't see eye to eye but we are, after all, entitled to our own opinions, and we're all free to make any game we please.
