This was my entry for the Film Tribute Competition over at Stickpage.com. Earned myself a 3rd place with this one. I hope you enjoy!
[Edit] Thanx Newgrounds for the Daily 2nd :)
Not bad animation. Also, kickass remix at the end! ^^
Stickmans don't need eyes! Btw great animation!
its not Jurassic Park without someone getting eaten
I voted this piece a '4' but I'm going to rate it 3.5, for reasons explained below.
-Exciting introduction, holding suspense, generally nailed the Jurassic Park atmosphere.
-Impressive animation, expressive movement patterns.
-Objectively good sound effects.
-Very humorous and well-played twist with the credit music at the end. Good job there.
-Love those abstract camera angles (top-down, from the floor, etcetera) Very filmy.
-This could have been longer. Try spreading the scenes out, make movements slightly slower.
-You should really have credited the author of Jurassic Park: the Book, since the film was crediting that. The book is also better than the film (subjectively).
-As has already been mentioned, the stick figure (red) is a bit too bulky, and should be more detailed. I find it difficult to get into this animation when a huge red blob is running across the screen.
I think this animation was really rather entertaining - it certainly deserved the prize of third place in the contest it was made for - but it lacks that spark, that passion, that really makes a flash clip brilliant. The piece holds potential, certainly, and with some extra work, more effort and a bit of help (god forbid) it would earn five stars from me any day of the week. Keep at it.
Almost great, but there're no eyes drawn for the stick figure. Since you've drawn dinosaurs fullbody, you could do much better with the stickman. Still, the aniomation itself is good. gl.
This is the story of a fearless girl and her encounter with the wicked cold wind god
