Great game..I like the play action...looks and music.. a few pointers
1. harder enemies - With all weapons maxed out i can mow down anything in my way..little poses a threat..enemies need to grow as you grow..more shields..better special powers to help them cope with the amount of firepower you put out.

2. Smarter Ai - some of the mechs will drop their shield and move away from it..easy pickins..if they deploy that they need to stay put until the shield gives or is nearly gone. If something with a cannon rolls out it needs to have a couple of helpers to well defeat you..big punch drops your shields and the small ones come in harrass or stand toe to toe with you.

3. weapons - With any good mech game weapons variety is a must..you have mainly ballistic weapons at your command..maybe some missile or energy based weapons..your helper drone has missiles why not be able to mount missile racks on your mech? energy based would be a straight laser frying most anything..or a richochet laser that bounces off other mechs and has a damage mulitipler so the more it bounces the more damage it does. down side would be a long recharge time. same with missiles once the rack goes empty it would need a few seconds to reload.

4. Body Upgrades/Mods - Allowing for upgrades would be great..a module that give you a boost in speed to regroup after getting spanked by big jack would be nice..or a upgrade for a short time recharges your shields and armor. Also allowing the play to customise the way the body looks and where the weapons are set would also help..at times it looks like my mech has a gaping mouth that shoots yellow orbs of death. also maybe even throw in a protype body with unknown stats..maybe even a mission to field test it where depending on how many times you die or win dictates if something goes wrong (shields fail and they drop. you win alot) or if it goes well (shield soaks in all the fire and recharges at the same time.. because you lose alot)

5. Misc - a quality setting would be a good thing for those that have slow connections or slow computers.might ruin the graphics but it won't lose any feel. Different music also helps alot as it helps to set the tone of the mission..Boss battle? dramatic music! Survival fight? fast paced with a touch of frantic in the music. Music should also change if your armor or shields are about gone or your near death..again mood setter. different backgrounds or background color will help to solve targeting issues people might have like a mech behind a tree at times its hard to even tell.

other than that.. awesome game wouldn't surprise me to see something like this as a download for PC and gaming consoles.

You took your time for your review, im taking my for a reply :)
About 1: It is dificult to balance enemies when they behave like you do and i dont like "cheating" with it. What i can take out from what you said is making the game "harder". Def something to look at. Balancing is something that takes a lot of time, and i wanted to leave the option to players to grind out of the challenge if they need to.
2: Imo the ai is pretty good atm, considering the time an enemy live. Sure, if you want to play around with enemies they can feel a bit dumb. But in a action game, ai even being talked about its rare.
3:Problem in adding dif weapons is size of the swf. Dif weapons req dif animations that take swf size. About rays and such, i need a better render pipeline before adding something like beams and such as i want the quality to be high, and not some draw line many games use to generate beams.
4:A booster that you can trigger or gets trigged when you get low or something is a good idea. Im afraid that placing more controls can make the game kind of convoluted (controls wise, imagine WASD , R,T,1,2,3,4 + mouse + space + ...) I tried to minimize what i could in terms of key presses. but the idea is a good one.
5: Quality wont be in. Thats a final. Whys that? because the game is ALL bitmap based and not vector based. That being said, the only dif a quality option would change the game is you feeling good cause u pressed low quality. Of couse i could set something internal for lower ammount of particles, or sound channels and that. But the graphics would all be the same. (sry for the technical post on this one, but this is why there isnt a "quality settings" around.

After all the reviews and support ive been getting around, im trying to make sequel viable. Im either thinking of an extend version of the game for desktop to fund the sequel or some other stuff. Im really trying to make it a reality. There are a lot of good ideas that CAN be implemented in a sequel that other ppl suggested. In the scenario that a sequel make itself viable im totally taking notes on what ppl thinks and wants for the game. Ty. :)

Great game! Although it would be nice to be able to crank down the graphics, cause it was running slower and slower as more enemies showed up and the sound was lagging hardcore. Other than that it was very fun.

The game is pretty much awesome, but gets boring quickly. Want multiple backgrounds!
