Well, I guess that could work, but if the clock is 5 seconds too slow and that person does things 5 seconds earlier, then it should be at the same time with everyone else. But who adjust a clock by seconds anyway? I remember my clock used to be 5 minutes early, so when I was going according to that clock when I was going to reach something in time and I actually was in a hurry, I had five minutes more to go on. It was actually going wrong by accident at first, but when I saw that it made it easier for me to reach the buss or the train in time and helped me being in time, then I found out that I would set all my clocks to be five minutes early.
