Not sure I should rate my competition in the Stencyl Jam, but after seeing some of the hateful reviews, I thought I'd weigh in:
I love what you're doing here. Just taking a simple mechanic and exploring it fully. True game design. The controls are a little clunky. I would suggest having the ship sit on top of the mouse cursor, instead of following it. For levels that require more dexterity (e.g. Air Attack. I HATE it! Can't beat it), this is critical. Also, consider not allowing the ship to leave the screen (Stencyl has a standard behaviour for this). There were a few moments where I felt like I lost my ship.
Other than that, very nice work. Best of luck in the competition.

I cursed this Game
I yelled at this Game
I wishend eternal Damnation to those Controls
I began to hate red and green Boxes
I had a good Time
Good, addictive Game, kicked in my "Just this one Level!"-Attitude until i finished it.
Now for some Points i didn't quite like: The Difficulty-curve of this Game is unbalanced. Sometimes you have a real hard Son of a Gun and afterwards you breeze through the next Couple of Levels without any Kind of Problems. Also, the Bosses were kind of Easy, especially Arthur - the Final one - didn't even make me bother.
Also, i think i noticed a Bug: Afteri died at the Cyclops-Boss for a few Times it didn't shoot at me and i had an easy Kill in this Try.
3/5, just polish the Sprites a little more and don't put too much Stuff in the Foreground, it's just slowing down the Game and draws away the Attention of the Player. May be good in Some cases, but if you need to concentrate every bit of Lag and Distraction just annoys you.

It is great you have get used to the controls I really like the background layout. It is supposed a puzzle game anyways. I haven't played a difficult game since a long time ago. I people should stop bashing this cool game. I hope you have a bright future on gaming development.
