Sometimes you need to know when to let go.

---

This is my Novice round entry for NATA 2012, which unfortunately, didn't get through to next round.

I'm fairly happy with it but I did have to cut a lot out of it to meet the deadline.

I hope you enjoy it!

Good job Lankie! Was it about accepting death?

Lankie responds:

Pretty much, you shouldn't just ignore death I guess...lest he annoys you for all eternity with his loud face. ¬¬
Thank you, and good luck in NATA!

I really liked it. Good job! It was a little bit sad though. :(

Lankie responds:

Yep, I figured with the theme 'Elephant in the Room' most people would go for a comedic route. So I decided to make a more melancholy animation to stand out.
Alas it didn't work out too well as I didn't get through.
Ah well, thanks for the comment!

I may go through my own 5 stages knowing an artist, such as yourself, won't be advancing:

But I think you made that right decision on crafted this flash properly. Animation was very good, the graphics worked decently, and style was very pleasant as well. Music went well to the the flash, and audio was of good quality. Loved your approach to the topic of "Elephant in the Room" because it held a more human element that tap a little more into emotions than some of the other novice round submissions.
Great Job, it may be a tough break for you, but there's always next year.

Lankie responds:

Indeed there is! Hopefully I'll have improved a fair bit by the time NATA 2013 rolls around! Thanks for the compliments!

Wow, I liked how it was done in a simplistic style but it didn't take away from it's serious tone. Well done, keep up the good work!

Lankie responds:

Thanks!
