Hero's Last Adventure

Hero is well-intentioned fire mage with a habit of messing up. On an endless quest to keep the princess safe he wakes up from a nightmare that foretells the demise of his true love.

This is my first game and a bit slap dash so I'm not expecting miracles. Any constructive criticism is very welcome.

Had possibilty,.. but,

the character controls, as mentioned before, are sticky...
the graphics... at points it almost seemed as if the character sprite was upside down.
the story line... couldn't really get into it... was TOO familiar.
however, i understand it being your first game. i believe with a little work, you show promise as a designer.

Bad controls, terrible font choice, and seriously? you stole the Link to the past opening? (princess calling out in desperation to a hero, psychicly) Come on people I know there isnt a quality control beyond the blamming process but have some standards for your work, have some self respect my friend, take pride in your work, fix it, be a touch more creative and upload a fixed version.

the controls are sticky and you can't read the fonts. who tested this before submitting?

I can't really say much because, to be fair, it was their first game but it does need some polishing. I get to where the princess is and there's a guy who swats me off withoout even listening to my warnings. Or at least that's what I think happens but I can barely read it since the text is small, white and has a very small outline. In the end I really can't play because I have no idea what people are saying or where to go. The graphics and gameplay need to be touched up before the game is fully finished which, to be fair, is what happens when anyone rushes a game. So in the end, just polish it a little and it may be a really good game.

Reminded me of old top-down rpg's, cheers for that :)

However, I'd really point out the dialogue speed. In conjunction with the font, it makes me have to repeat dialogues 2-3 times until I've managed to read what each char says. Perhaps slowing down the pace and enlarging things a little might make it more comfortable.

Also, found that interaction points are way too "picky" about where I'm standing. Had to run circles around a char to get them to talk.

Liked the token-naming, like Hero, Princess and Error. Gilbert would be proud :P

Sorry for anything I've missed here, but it's pretty decent for a first go ^^
