My second film made at Calarts. Music by MIchael Paul Kennedy ( http://www.mkennedymusic.
Thanks for watching!
I have to say I love everything about this movie. The artwork is unique in the Flash world and the soundtrack was brilliantly executed, but it's the concept that I love the most. We've seen things like this before: the post-apocalyptic world where small groups of people move around to survive; The Road, etc. But I don't think I've ever seen one where the world has become so hot that a small crack in a temperature suit will cause eruption in to flame. It's the sort of thing that could go further, to become an actual movie, TV series, or video game.
Kudos to you, good sir. Keep up the good work.
Love the post-apocalyptic feel. The characters remind me of The Road - was it inspired by that movie in any way? Not much more to say: great animation skills, well chosen colors, no voice acting actually makes it more mysterious. 5 stars, of course.
The only thing that bothered me a little was the boy being kind of blocky in some scenes - but after second watching, I started to like the simplicity of that.
Aww. What can I say... I loved this, (and I am not just saying that because of my general appetite for post-apocalyptic story lines. The slightly geometric style was nice and the movement was fluid. I enjoyed that you added a bit of texture via the fuzz to make it look different from an ordinary flash. I haven't read The Road yet, but I think this animation is a bit reminiscent of it. Use of color was amazing. I think 5 stars are well deserved.
