Overview: Awesome game! Worth all hours spent (I beat rome), and worth supporting! I'd say it ties with Swords and Sandals 2 as the best gladiator game i've ever played

Concept: Well, this is where you lost your half star. Not because gladiator games aren't fun, but because you just failed to innovate a little on the game. We've all seen swords and sandals, with tournaments and training, and huge databanks of creative gladiator names and funfacts, and your game rips nearly everything it has on them. Still, originality is not a must on a game and I thought that shouldn't be taken harshly. The great innovation in the game is the limb system. It's exciting to figure out which limbs to cut out of which classes. The tech tree was well built too, you avoided the common mistake of overcrowding it of active skills. Keep it passive! =) [-1 star]

Gameplay: The game gets a little laggy after some time of playing, but my laptop sucks so I'll leave it out. The gameplay is quite repetitive too, an issue i'm still waiting for a gladiator game to solve. The idea of speed messing with the turn order was very nice. Also, the graphics are pretty good. 'Bloody' good, if you allow the pun. [no star loss]

Dificulty and progression: Perfect. I thought I'd have to say the game just favors you using all points on strenght, but I soon realized the other attributes could offer much as well. I'd say you could have been more daring with the dificulty progression. The game is a little too easy and (I can't believe i'm saying this) not annoying enough. I missed getting pissed off while playing. It's part of the fun. The only 'dirty play' you pulled was the net ability. Still, nothing worth star loss. [no star loss]

Sound: In a repetitive game, a repetitive sound is fitting, it's alright, but you guys made that repeating sound awesome enought not to bother me, though I played for hours straight! That is an incredible archievement. The heavy metal suits the game perfectly (this puts you ahead of SaS, with their weird chants and silence during fights). The menu song is addictive and also not noticeable. The archievement gives you half a star back. Congratz! [+0,5 star]

Since there is no story (and no problem with that) I left it out. It would have been cool to have a 'quest-like' background (SaS wins, sorry), but no star loss because of not having one, that's for sure!

Final rating: 4,5 stars! Congratulations!

A real good game but my only complaint would be it's too hard to get money
