You are Daniel, a researcher at the Time Travel Research Facility where you study both time manipulation and dimensional transfer. But one day the extradimensional creatures kept in cages break free and wreak havoc on the entire facility. As Daniel tries to escape from the labs full of danger, he learns that the breakout was caused by more than negligence or coincidence. Treason may be found at the highest levels.

In this platformer game, you rewind time to get to inaccessible places, avoid death or synchronize sentinels. You slow down time to avoid long trap corridors, outmaneuver extradimensionals and avoid projectiles. You can also pick up time grenades to send your foes into the future. This way, you can bypass them entirely or at least move yourself into advantageous position in the meantime.

CONTROLS:

(arrow keys) - movement
(hold A or Shift) - rewind time
(hold S or Ctrl) - slow down time
(press Space) - throw time grenade (if you have any)
(press R) - restart level

SCORING SYSTEM:

You gain 1000 points whenever you enter a level.
You gain 1 point whenever you kill an enemy.
You lose 10 points whenever you are "near death".
You lose 30 points whenever you restart the level.

Didn't play past the first level as the controls were sluggish or not responsive at all.

Oracions responds:

Thank you for this feedback. There is indeed some problem with simultaneous pressing of keys. In particular, Daniel appears to be unable to start slowing down time and start jumping at the same time.

This looks like a crummy Braid rip off. The point system seems arbitrary at best, seeing as completing a level gets you 1000, while killing things and getting hit by something loses you a measly 10. Why should I care about killing enemies and dying if I know I can die 100 times a level and still break even? Grenades are interesting, but are more for convenience than necessity. Jumping is terrible, not the height but the fact you always jump that high. Making it possible to jump less would add so much more you can do to the game.

This is one of the best games that I have played in a while. I cannot wait to see what you make in the future! The starter bit is extremely complex, which I appreciate. Most of the time, I end up just writing my own short novellas for movie and games, but this one fit the story so well that I did not even waste time rationalizing a single detail. One thing that I was curious about. There is a "fourth item", which I did not unlock at any point during the game. Is it a bonus unlockable, or did I simply miss something important?

Oracions responds:

Thank you.
There are two abilities (time rewind and time dilation) and two items (time grenade and the wallet). You probably missed the wallet which you can pick up in the first room of the first level. It has no effect on gameplay, it's simply a link to the previous game, Time Travel Facility.

It's a really good game! i havea question... did you got some inspiration on Gordon Freeman from Half Life? because the main character looks like him.

Oracions responds:

From Chris: "I've never played Half Life actually (although I really should one of these days). I created a few designs, but in the end the brown hair and goatee combo looked the best. Really glad you enjoyed the game ^_^"
