Do not submit a Beta. Improve the music, graphics and content. The controls need work.
This game has some potential I guess, but there are a few things wrong with it that should really be addressed.
First off, the controls are a little awkward, for example holding z to sprint just doesn't feel right. Speaking of controls, it took me a while to figure them out because there was no way back to the main menu. Maybe if you let people look at the options in the game and have the controls there (pause button?) there wouldn't be an issue.
When you first spawn, you should give the player some space to practice moves and get the feel of the game. Instead you placed me in a confined space with an enemy and I didn't know how to jump or attack. So that became a huge problem for me.
Lastly, when I finally got to the end, there was no going to the next level or anything. Even after refreshing ,figuring out the controls at the main menu, and trying the enter key at that square which I assumed was a door, I was only met with a little options screen. There was no clear directions in the options screen either, so it took me a wasted health potion to get out of it. Walking off the edge doesn't do any good in changing the level, only forces me to see a moving health bar and refresh the page.
It also might do your game good to have it a bit larger, but that's just me talking.
Again, it has some potential, the artwork is pretty nice and I like stories about other peoples culture, BUT FIX THESE PROBLEMS PLEASE!

Really bad coding. Lots of bugs: HP glitches. Jump height miscalculation. No tutorials. Awful art work. Lacking sound effects.
