Happy Mother's Day Newgrounds! :D

Offspring Fling is a game about a poor forest creature that has misplaced all of her children after an unfortunate run in with a dinosaur. She'll have to fight her way through over 100 levels of action puzzle platforming to get them all back home. There's danger around every corner, but she won't rest until her family is safe again.

This is just a quick 15 level preview of the game! There's over 100 levels in the final version of the game.

The full version of the game can be found at
Thanks for playing! : )

This is a good game, and I will definitely consider purchasing the full version.
However, there were some lag issues I had with the controls. Sometimes the movements didn't occur until about two or three seconds after I had already pressed the keys, which is annoying enough in the earlier levels, but absolutely unplayable when you start to encounter enemies (I suspect this is what some people meant when they said they kept dieing due to "horrible controls").
This aside, great job!

Hmm interesting, haven't seen any issues with the controls on the computers I've tested it on. Might be because of the web browser version maybe. Sorry about the trouble! Thanks for the feedback.

Very entertaining game. It kept me playing for twenty minutes or so. I don't see the problems that the other people have with controls. If you're having issues with them, take the time during a level to just run around/jump up and down to figure out the timing.

Those rainbow, those are hard. I've only gotten one so far (aka I beat your time by .01 seconds :P) Was only able to do that after watching your character gain speed by quick-hopping off the roof of certain areas. What is "your destiny" if I may ask? I don't think I'll be able to get many, if any, more of those flowers.

Xerus responds:

Hey thanks for the feedback! I can't exactly reveal what "your destiny" is, but its something hidden away for the best of the best... ;)

Very nice programming, great music, good difficulty and lovely art design.
I do find it odd that you are rescuing so many cubs when there weren't that many in the beginning, but I will suspend my disbelief.
There are some problems that I would like to address, first off all the music keeps playing when you pause the game, which can get slightly annoying, secondly there is no quick mute sound nor music, such a function would be nice. And though I love the art style you went with, it would be nice if the character and the cubs more clearly. Also the water looks shallow which tricked me a couple of times, but not really an issue.

Over all great game.

Xerus responds:

Thanks for your feedback! I missed out on a quick mute button, sorry 'bout that -- I ported the game to the browser rather quickly and forgot some of the "must have" features for the browser. : )

Pretty nice game. Really cute. I love the art and concept. My only complaint really is that it's reaaaally irritating to not be able to jump with the up arrow. It really hampers the fluidity of the controls.

Xerus responds:

Hm surprising amount of people want to jump with the up arrow... personally I hate jumping with the up arrow in games so that's why I didn't do that. You can customize your controls through in the options menu (the gear button on the bottom right of the screen) Thanks for the feedback.
