Great game!
I dig the retro-esque graphics and the music was an interesting yet fitting choice.
This submission is a lot of fun and has reminiscent moments of the old 2D Metroid / Castlevania titles with weapon upgrades and the way the areas are mapped out.
Anyway, keep up the great work and please make more of these gems!

I like platforming games and this one ;while, simplistic is a lot of fun.
I felt like the bosses were cool and really allows you to explore and learn to use you character better.
