I don't know why this is so blurry when being uploaded to Newgrounds, or why there's a white border around the animation. No matter what I try, I can't seem to fix either of those.

Your problem is the way it was captured (IE your camera).
Also, try to add a soundtrack. Anything that adds a feeling to the story you're trying to tell.

Yeah, I was planning on adding a song, but I ran out of time before the project was due. I suppose I could still put one in though.

it is just exquisite. the story and the artwork was fantastic!
despite the poor quality, it was a bit legible, but the white lines were and exception. i think the problem was your cam.
also, for your future animations, put it sound.
so 9/10. great job, and hope to see more from you!
Thank you! I still have to practice getting the settings right for how everything is recorded, so hopefully my next animation will be a bit nicer-looking.
