This is a simple version of the classic Snake Game. Collect food to increase the size of your snake.
Be sure not to collide with the boundaries, or yourself!
(Updated to add medals and improve control responsiveness)
(Note: I know this is by no means a unique submission, but everyone starts somewhere)
I like it but i never got to 300.
Nice with a classic snake game with medals, it's a simple concept, and a fun one, and adding medals to the mix makes it feel rewarding as well. It's both addicting and aggravating at the same time, and I've been playing for quite a while now and still can't quite reach 100. It's those dots that appear right by the borders, and especially the ones in the corners, that eventually end the game. Maybe the speed is a bit too fast because it feels like I always dodge just a tenth of a second too late. Either way though, it's a fun game. Nice work!
Thank you. I've been looking for a simple-regular snake game for like an hour, and all I could find are all these dumb snake games with actual snake graphics that throw me off, add-ons instead of just getting food, dumb stuff like that. This alone is a unique submission because, while its not exactly like the original, its the closest I've found. I've always said, if something isn't broken, don't fix it. The snake game doesn't need to be fixed, thank you for posting an original version on here.
Sure it functions, I can give you that. For a starting game, it's actually really good, the only problem with this is that well, you move a little bit too fast. Another problem, unless it was intentional, is that the color scheme hurts my eyes and makes it hard to play for a long time without my eyes hurting. This caused my highest score to only be thirty-two.
Again, for a starter submission, it's really good, honestly. I didn't experience any FPS problems and I'm on a laptop. Anyways, as I was saying, it's a rather good job for a starter, I'd recommend changing the colors and reuploading to make it more enjoyable.
