Little Big Adventure 100 Points Complete the game!

Author Comments

I made this game for Ludum Dare 23 competition in under 48 hours. The theme for the games was "Tiny World".

Here is the game's Ludum Dare page, remove the spaces in the link so it will work:
www.ludumdare.com/compo/l udum-dare-23/?action=rate &uid=11391

Tiny Island Adventure tells us a story about young, girl mechanic Lydia, who once build her house on a floating island, but for her misfortune, it one night suddenly flew to the sky with her and her house on it!

Ever since she has been stuck high in the sky.. until one day another floating island appears next to hers. Lydia decides to explore the new island, in hopes that she could figure how to escape from the tiny floating islands.

Controls:

Use Arrow Keys to move, Z to Jump, Up arrow to enter doors.
Enter to advance text or start the game in main menu
P to pause, - and + to adjust sound and 0 to mute.
Esc to skip the intro.

Sequel is in the works, you can check out the new graphical style and Lydia's new tools in this alpha test ground demo:

Well game. Short, but fun to play. It would'nt be bad to see a sequel, with more levels and enemies, and some answers about those misterious islands. You have a good plot in your hands!

The game itself is great, the music fits the scene, the engine works really well, and all done in 48 hours makes it even more incredible, BUT, yes there is a but, I was dissapointed about the platforming puzzles, they were too easy, you could have made something a little harder, oh and the moving platform in the water filled cave did not move your character, I dont know if it was meant to be that way, but im pointing it out anyway. 4/5 and 4 Stars. Please make more games (Not in 48 hours) you have a lot of potential :D

Fantastic, absolutely fantastic. One of the best Ludum Dare games I've seen so far. It had beautiful pixel art, great feel, interesting gameplay, not too challenging, but not too easy. You even had time to include a medal. I have no complaints, this game is really top-notch!

enjoyed the experience, a nice little game, tough i had some problems with how the control was made, like if you where standing on a moving platform you would not move with it (maybe intentional, but i found it weird none the less) and sometimes you could not move from the wood platform and onto the default cave ground. but it did not really bother me, for a 48 hour game i think it was a job well done.

took half a star for different thinks, like the soundtrack etc, but please do not get me wrong, just trying to give constructive criticism :)

I enjoyed the little story.

I found the controls slippy. Even though it is playable without checkpoints it's frustrating. I would of liked to have seen a few checkpoints dotted throughout.

Anyway I enjoyed this cute little game that you completed with a 48hr deadline. Well done.
