Made for the Something Awful Bi-Weekly Game Jam, theme was taking a song and gamifying it. On that note, I have no idea if using a chiptuned version of a pop song is a copyright issue, if anyone wants me to take it down just let me know.
So about the game, it's just your typical platformer with jumps, double jumps, and walljumps. every screen has 3 balloons, once they're popped you'll go to the next level. There's 33 levels.
Arrow keys to move, X to do various jumps.
The controls are very clunky and I glitched into a platform and I cannot get out. Needs some work

Sorry about that! I've been struggling with getting the glitches worked out, all I can say -for the time being, at least - is press R to reset the room. If I really can't figure out a way to fix those issues I'll just add a level select / skip level thingy.

I really liked this. The platforming is fun and not too complicated, while still offering a nice challenge.
Just out of curiosity, what version of the song did you use to make the audio? The original or the remix?

I just grabbed a midi file I had and messed around with it, no idea from which version it comes from (the file was called "Balloons" so probably the remix?). While the song inspired the game, it was made for a game jam in an afternoon so tbh the music was a last minute throw-it-in-there-and-get-it-done type deal.
Pretty nice game except the controls aren't super responsive and there isn't any tutorial.
