As an e-card, I can't say it got the point across very well.
The textures and colors you chose in the beginning gave a nice homemade, "e-card" look. The actual animation, however, came off as very choppy. The way you chose to present it was also fairly poor.
It wasn't clear what actually happened, and the text overlays and edits were very amateurish. As for suggestions on how to improve, I would suggest looking at a real animated e-card, or just cards you can get from the store for good reference material.
