When I heard that Edd Gould (eddsworld) had passed away, I was just shocked. I really couldn't believe it. He was such a huge inspiration to me, he's the whole reason I started using Flash. Hell, I probably wouldn't even know about this great website if it weren't for him. So this is my way of saying thank you, and while there are probably going to be many others like this, I just felt I had to make my personal contribution.
TL;DR - Thanks for the inspiration Edd.
Also, I am aware of how little animation this contains, but that's not the point. The point is to get my thoughts across as well as possible, so yeah w/e. I don't even know what I'm typing, but you get it.
RIP Edd Gould, 1988-2012.

his death is a truly sad thing because he was a great man and to be taken so soon is just sad but he will always be awsome and the word will never forget him

Edd, you were a friend to hundreds of people, an inspiration to thousands of animators, and loved by millions of fans. I raise my glass to you, where ever you may now rest.

I dont want to be an artist, i dont want to make cartoons and have a show, i have no ability to draw or even be funny, but Edd still gives me hope, even now, to never give up on my dreams and goals. i thank you for making this video, because it spells out everything that i didnt have ability and courage to say myself.

artist just like Edd
From the moment i was 10 and started watching videos on youtube his animations were the best i ever thought.I hope that Edd's creation will be passed on day by day,year by year, and century by century.
And don't worry,many 12 year old's may be inspired by this video also.
