this is a great game
walkthrough: instead of clicking rapidly at the parts when at the building wall and river click regulerly rapidly hardly works

AlanZucconi responds:

Yes. :-p You can simply click regularly. :-)
Now you unravelled the secret! :p

This game was okay. It was short and seemed to drag out in certain areas. I like your concept and graphics. Will there be a sequel?

AlanZucconi responds:

Well, this was already a sort of "spin-off" from "The Body" by "AwkwardSilenceGames". So I don't think there will be a sequel. :-p
But there will be another game, maybe in the Summer. :-p

This story reminded me a lot of "Where the wild roses grow" a song related to a man murdering someone he loved and giving her a rose. While also putting her body in a river. Anyhow off subject. About the Point and click.

1. I was impressed at the beginning the lightning and the soothing music kept me interested. This point and click has some unique aspects to it. A great deal of flow was put into it and the little effort added with the rain was gorgeous.

2. A problem I did have with it was that although almost all the chapters were fast enough sometimes I felt like the pace was a tad to slow. Even more so when I played again so I could see the second ending.

3. The concept of bringing a killer into the story was interesting but I felt like maybe a bit more could of been added. It would of been nice if there were more choices rather then just the interactive clicking. Like to choose if you could not do certain things expect for the ending.

Anyhow in a way you've done an amazing job at adding atmosphere and giving a sense of depth I just felt that in some areas it was lacking. Nice job anyhow.

Hi Monako! :-)
Since now, you're the first one who actually got the "Where the wild roses grow" quote! :-)
I really like that song, especially in the dichotomy between what Kylie and Nick said.
It talks about Love. A sick, pathological, disturbing one. But still love is.
The idea of drowning here in the lake was completely stolen from that song. :-p

Living is better than anything. Feeling guilt is better than feeling nothing.

Like others, I thought the love story was kind of rushed. Maybe two more chapters, one where it establishes he's not right in the head (You gotta admit, he kinda isn't), and another where it clearly shows the love between them. Perhaps another, just for reinforcement. I did like the concept, very much so.

Out of curiosity, what was with the skeleton and evil tentacles after he shares the umbrella? The skeleton might be her.....In a really creepy way, but I'm pretty sure I saw some evil tentacle thing behind the skeleton taking up half the street....Maybe it was just me 0.o (Please don't deny the skeleton's existence....That would creep me out >.<)

And finally, on a meta-point, I would like to contend I broke your illusion of free will. I clicked away from the game at the rape/murder scene. XD

AlanZucconi responds:

Skeleton? Tentacle? :o What are you talking about?
Ahaha don't worry, there are both of them! :-)
I actually can't answer to your question. Because I have no idea. :-p
Does the skeleton mean that she will die, or that she's somehow evil?
Does the tentacle follow her, or is chasing him?
I guess is nice to leave some questions! :-)
