This is a project that I started while waiting for some loose ends on the Tales of Zale pilot. I wanted to try making an animation to a song and found that this one fitted quite well for the style that I was going for. The flash was mostly meant to test a few animation techniques as well as effects and possibilities in Adobe Flash.

What started out as the vague idea of a boy waking up in a world of dreams quickly evolved into much more, and though I hadn't made any storyboard, I suddenly had both a beginning, a middle and an ending stuck inside my head. I ended up working very hard on this flash and felt like I had to finish it, but because of my inexperience and relatively slow drawing speed it took a lot longer than I had first anticipated, and I almost gave up a few times. Here it is though, all done. Now I only hope that everyone can look through its faults and be able to enjoy it!

I've tried eliminating as much lag from the flash as possible, but I can't guarantee that it'll work on all computers, so if you're having problems viewing the animation, you can also watch it here:

Ok flash, I really wish people would do more music videos in general because the ones on MTV suck. My only complaint is that the animation didn't really measure up to the great song. Keep trying though, if done right, the next musical experience could be number 1 on newgrounds.

There are some improvements in your animation even though it's skipping at times, I didn't have to revert to the youtube version.

Nice animation to a nice song by Adam Young. Should have credited him though for his original work. But that's minor things, you've done a good job in this one, keep working on your animation skills.

Totally awesome. To those who said they had browser crashes..... so did I. Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome. All three of them crashed. YouTube link works great through.

I have no idea why the incompatibility with Newgrounds, but at least there are other ways to view it.
