Traitor puts you into the shoes of a soldier of the Augustan Hegemony, forced to rise up against your former masters after you're ordered to do something you simply cannot accept. Explore the Aventinus Complex, complete missions, upgrade your ship and gather allies until you can overthrow the tyrants who have brought such misery to the people.

[Note: If you're playing in Firefox and experience odd control problems, try switching to Chrome or Opera.]

[Current version: 1.7]

TIPS:
1. The game opens up after the 4th mission, when you reach the map.
2. Upgrades are available in shops on the map screen.
3. The menu allows you to see your stats, achievements and allies.
4. If a mission is too difficult, try playing a different one and upgrading your ship.
5. In some situations, survival is more important than destroying all enemy ships.

MEDALS:
If your medals aren't unlocking, this is probably because the NG server is having some hiccups. Try reloading the page and see if the preloader ad is being displayed. Then go to the in-game Achievements screen; the game will try to unlock any medals you should already have.

I very much enjoyed this game--a good mix of exploration and shmup action. I like that upgrades are rewarded for missions as well as purchased.

I would have rated this higher, but unfortunately the third mission in Nyx/Exile Habitat keeps freezing on me. I can pause and adjust the volume, but otherwise it sticks. Every other mission plays A-OK. I'm using Opera.

I'm trying to figure this out. Several people have reported it, but it doesn't happen on my computer in any browser, and there's really nothing different programming-wise about Nyx or Exile... it's rather perplexing, really.

I really like the graphics and the gameplay. The various enemy types are also a very nice aspect. The imho only major negative side is that the early upgrades seem pretty weak for their price.
All in all very enjoyable!

I highly recommend this game. Only a few of the queer elite can find fault in this game.
The only downside is the length of this game- short.

Solid coding and high fun factor.

PROTIP: Survival and Weapon Strength.

Nicely done!
You were able to integrate exploration, mini games and a nice story to an old gaming concept.

The result is a great game that is entertaining to play and a frexh take on a classic genre.

The graphics were simple but elegant.

I would suggest more variations in missions. This game deserves to be larger. Adding more races and territory control aspects, or an rts feel would put this game over the top.

I really like the game itself, very enjoyable an fun. There seems to be some bugs, I always freeze when I do quest in NYX CONGLOMERATION, fix that please.

Also, I think it would be cool if there were visual upgrades to the ship, it makes the game a little more interesting.
