Traitor puts you into the shoes of a soldier of the Augustan Hegemony, forced to rise up against your former masters after you're ordered to do something you simply cannot accept. Explore the Aventinus Complex, complete missions, upgrade your ship and gather allies until you can overthrow the tyrants who have brought such misery to the people.

[Note: If you're playing in Firefox and experience odd control problems, try switching to Chrome or Opera.]

[Current version: 1.7]

1. The game opens up after the 4th mission, when you reach the map.
2. Upgrades are available in shops on the map screen.
3. The menu allows you to see your stats, achievements and allies.
4. If a mission is too difficult, try playing a different one and upgrading your ship.
5. In some situations, survival is more important than destroying all enemy ships.

If your medals aren't unlocking, this is probably because the NG server is having some hiccups. Try reloading the page and see if the preloader ad is being displayed. Then go to the in-game Achievements screen; the game will try to unlock any medals you should already have.

Awesome game with an epic story! Really liked it!
However i can't get the 3rd secret medal,(don't know what it is) and 250 reputaion, i had 245 reputation and the only missions left were the endgame mission(it says you get 50 rep but if you beat it no rep is awarded) the mining mission, no rep either and the scanning mission (replayable and no reputaion) How can i get the last 5 reputation points

good game, but I think I'm stupid or in the world do you buy the upgrades that are in the menu?

I think the opening needs work. The player's character should have checked the holds of those cargo ships to see what they were really carrying - that seems like common sense, especially if the options are to blow them up or to disobey an order. And then the part after that (and therefore the entire premise of the game) doesn't make any sense if the player chooses to destroy all the cargo ships as ordered, which I did, lacking any evidence to back up their claim of medical supplies (lying is even easier than is turning to piracy). There are some signs that they could have been telling the truth once you get to Occator Prime, but that's much too late, especially if one works from left to right on the map. The player is also eventually exposed to a lot of evidence of the Hegemony's evilness, though its side of the story isn't really represented at all.

Anyway, the game is pretty good, though not exactly innovative. I do appreciate the quality writing/dialogue. The game seemed to become laggy and less responsive more quickly than usual, but it's hard to tell if that's just my computer or not. Now I'm getting towards the end and it's getting more repetitive (though I haven't even discovered mining yet), so I think I'll finish later, but certainly not a bad game.

Nice game!

I love space action games a lot!

Playing this reminds me of many great coin op games I grew playing as a kid.
You guys give Astro Blaster and Astro Fighter a run for their money!
