Traitor puts you into the shoes of a soldier of the Augustan Hegemony, forced to rise up against your former masters after you're ordered to do something you simply cannot accept. Explore the Aventinus Complex, complete missions, upgrade your ship and gather allies until you can overthrow the tyrants who have brought such misery to the people.

[Current version: 1.7]

1. The game opens up after the 4th mission, when you reach the map.
2. Upgrades are available in shops on the map screen.
3. The menu allows you to see your stats, achievements and allies.
4. If a mission is too difficult, try playing a different one and upgrading your ship.
5. In some situations, survival is more important than destroying all enemy ships.

If your medals aren't unlocking, this is probably because the NG server is having some hiccups. Try reloading the page and see if the preloader ad is being displayed. Then go to the in-game Achievements screen; the game will try to unlock any medals you should already have.

Awesome game. I felt like it could have used more depth in customization rather than just having linear upgrades. That would allow for more replayability. Also, while the graphics were cool, I'd prefer more details and animation. Overall, this was a great game well worth hours spent.

i like all the retro and everything and it sorta reminds me of Galaga

I think this is a wonderful game. Most levels, or quests, aren't too challenging, however it provides a nice break from the chaos when you just want to fly arround. Also I enjoy the two infinity-replay levels for just that reason. The story is easy to follow and one you don't need to think hard on where you were if you choose to put down the game and pick it up again. Also, it was a nice fact that each area had it's own story, it's own personality. It really showed communities and diversities.

The only thing I wish there was in this game is a picture of the different people. With so much thought, care and imagination gone already into the game, I wonder what you picture the people to look like.

Lastly, for anyone who finds the last level, or endgame level, hard, I have a tip I'd like to post here. I am also posting this in case it was a flaw, so that JonasKyratzes will be aware of it for next time:

When you fight the boss of the Endgame ( the ship that looks like you) you can always head to the north-west corner of the screen. With the path of the boss, he (or she) never reaches there. So you can use your regeneration ability to recharge. He has no tech, so don't worry about that.

its a preety good game, the gameplay after the first 10 missions was kinda repetitiyve but the story was what kept me going, i like the retro style graphics and the sorta rpg mechanics.
so, in short, good game, kinda repetitive, but a very good game.

It's pretty awesome, I must say. It's not exactly the most challenging game ever (it's pretty hard at the beginning, but then as you get upgrades it gets pretty easy, though the last two levels are not exactly a cakewalk even when maxed out). It also has pretty simple graphics. Nevertheless I like how it fuses shooter and RPG, and I liked the storyline and how every mission underscores just how corrupt the Hegemony is. So 5/5 for me.
