Traitor puts you into the shoes of a soldier of the Augustan Hegemony, forced to rise up against your former masters after you're ordered to do something you simply cannot accept. Explore the Aventinus Complex, complete missions, upgrade your ship and gather allies until you can overthrow the tyrants who have brought such misery to the people.
[Note: If you're playing in Firefox and experience odd control problems, try switching to Chrome or Opera.]
[Current version: 1.7]
TIPS:
1. The game opens up after the 4th mission, when you reach the map.
2. Upgrades are available in shops on the map screen.
3. The menu allows you to see your stats, achievements and allies.
4. If a mission is too difficult, try playing a different one and upgrading your ship.
5. In some situations, survival is more important than destroying all enemy ships.
MEDALS:
If your medals aren't unlocking, this is probably because the NG server is having some hiccups. Try reloading the page and see if the preloader ad is being displayed. Then go to the in-game Achievements screen; the game will try to unlock any medals you should already have.

i played and it was very good, but when i first came here and saw the control scheme i was instantly put of, because of the complexity and extra controls that could have just been in the pause menu. so, i think it would be good at least let the player customize the controls

I like the music in the first part. Anybody else think of "Eye of the Tiger"?

The game itself was rather straightforward, but there were moments where you would gnash your teeth, wondering if you'd pull out of it juuuust in time or not, and then there were those moments where you could grin a little, imagining your little ship darting and weaving in between their ranks, in a small-scale highly-justified rampage. :3
Yet that's not what impressed me the most.
It was a combination really. I liked those messages at the beginning, and at the end.
After that, I was further impressed when I realized that you actually came up with original dialogue for every last one of those missions. Serious lacking of repetitive text said a lot about the effort level. I'd imagine you were wide awake at times, mulling over what words to use perhaps?
Perhaps, perhaps not. Either way, you understand what I'm trying to say. ;) Yeah, I noticed.
Very deserved, and excellent job.

Awesome game, quite adicting and inspiring!
I specially like the music, however where can I get it? when I click the link to Chris Davis Site, my browser can't display most of the stuff there.

truly epic...the concept of making a game where one becomes a 'traitor' and goes against his army/nation in order to achieve freedom...the epic level in this game is TOO DAMN HIGH
awesome game and soundtrack. loved the unique art style too.
