So this Kony thing has been a big deal lately and has taken the web by storm.

While I was in the process of animating this, one of the co-founders of InvisibleChildren ( the company that produced the Kony 2012 video ) had a mental breakdown.

Enjoy.

Update: Thanks for the front page! Stay cool.

Finally, proof that I'm not alone. F*ck Kony and F*ck InvisibleChildren, too! They're both messed up SOBs.

The animation quality wasn't bad! The angel scene was pretty witty. I totally could relate to the story of kids not truly knowing what they're supporting after seeing one video. Although you kind of lost me at the scene when it switches to Uganda... If that's supposed to be Joseph Kony, he's not even in Uganda anymore which is a common criticism of the viral video itself... It kind of takes away from the parody and criticism that you made the same mistake. I also liked that you took the original audio from the video. Yeah, the voice acting for whoever the African guy was could have been a lot better.

I personally enjoyed the video even though it makes fun of IC which happens to be an organization I've supported in the past. If we can't laugh at ourselves, then we're taking things too seriously. But I also want to take this time to address some of the reviews which are outright wrong on a factual basis. I love comedy but I don't like misrepresentation of information. Giving people false information is worse than being completely ignorant.

First of all, Invisible Children is *actually* a 501(c)3 non-profit organization despite what you people are saying, the facts are the facts. Don't believe me? Here are their taxes:
http://c2052482.r82.cf0.rackcdn.com/i mages/736/original/FY11-990%20Tax%20r eturn.pdf?1320205002
Now where is your evidence that they are, in fact, not a non-profit?

(*Atomlad)"30,000 children for over two decades forced to kill there parents and family for over a decade? How come none of them turned around and shot the captures? Not a single one of them?"
This is precisely the crap that needs to stop. What exactly are you trying to say here? That Kony never actually captured anyone? That he never raped any little girls? That he never cut off feet, hands, arms, tongues or put out eyes? That he never drove Ugandan citizens off a cliff like a heard of swine? This is the same level of despicable ignorance that holocaust deniers spread.

"Kony2012 is a scam. TL;DR its for oil."
Again, more idiocy... what oil exactly? I'll show you countries where we intervened for oil: Iraq (war), Libya (air strikes and supported coup d'etat), Venezuela (supported coup d'etat). Uganda has a very speculative 1.2 billion barrels of oil in the west under a lake which is contested by 3 other countries. If any of those countries pull a Kuwait and drill diagonally you could see that region explode. Why isn't there oil development there now? Because even if it is all Uganda's oil, and even if a pipeline is built across the country to take it to ports for export. 1.2 billion barrels of oil would last the United States about two months at present consumption and much less by the time Ugandan oil might be tapped. To put it in perspective, Saudi Arabia - a real producer, has more than 280 billion barrels of oil.

So no, wasn't for oil. We have enough oil interests in Africa between E. Guinea and Libya without getting into a jungle war in Uganda. One advisory team in Uganda is not a U.S. show of oil greed. You'll see air strikes and a carrier group first. It's a sign of actually addressing a humanitarian problem.

Nice reference to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I like the animation. Short, simple, and quality.

Much appreciated

i feel this whole deal was best summed up by some random dude on the internets
"if you're having warlord problems i feel bad for you son, kony raped 99 kids and your post didn't save one"

the whole charity is a scam, the guy is bonkers, i hate this entire thing. the only good thing about it is if you took a picture of carl weathers from predator you could get a few people riled up
