Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

After a long day of shooting flash ideas back and forth this is what came out of it. We weren't thinking of Monsters Inc. by the way.

Idea inspired by ZJ. We were going for a role reversal sort of thing.

Edit: woah front page. Thanks a lot!!!!!!

Thanks for using my song :D

Nicely done.

A rough parody of Monsters Inc, but still enjoyable. The setup and build up is nicely paced, with the kid trying to rouse the parent a few times, before looking through the door and the scream hitting us. I liked it and was not surprised by it, except perhaps your drawing style.

That nose on the child was freaky, but then again, that was the sort of thing you were aiming for, perhaps the only other thing you could do would be to make the child overly cute, so that the monster would be scared of things like hugs.

With the way that you delivered it, I'm very impressed and I want to see you make more. Chop chop!

HOLY HALO REACH! Somewhat creepy when the kid made that laugh!
*Shudder*

Maybe not the most original idea on the planet (no, I was not thinking of "Monsters Inc" I am too old for that ;) ), but the little monster looked sweet anyway.

The thing that bothers me the most with this flash is the low audio quality. When the big monster is speaking, there are static noises all over the place. So either the microphone used was of rather poor quality or the recording level was too high. Also, when the kid screamed there where static noises as well.

This was somewhat interesting to watch, but needs much improvement.

Graphics:
The characters and the backgrounds were well drawn and shaded. The facial expressions and lip syncing also worked well. The animation was usually pretty smooth, but not so much with the first close up of the monster's eye, which felt a bit choppy.

Audio:
The background music was fitting, but the rest needs work. The voices and sound effects didn't work very well at all, even if they weren't of such low quality. The "I'm real" spam at the end was especially bad; it seemed to serve no purpose but annoyance.

Concept:
This movie is unoriginal and doesn't even attempt to hide it. The character design and concept are obviously inspired by Monsters Inc. Even so, this was somewhat interesting to watch. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting the kid to scream, but it was still no where near scaring me.

Overall:
It's mildly entertaining, but the audio is terrible and the concept isn't even close to being original.
