I've honestly have never had so many people help me work on this, it's awesome. I was so inspired by Piercesmoulder's audio series and after the somewhat recent success of my rendition of Cupcakes, I made this my next pony project. Not grimdark if you're worried.

I'm currently having issues with youtube and various other things that would otherwise make this more awesome (like the doctor whooves intro that I can't fit within the 20 mb limit). Can't seem to export a high enough quality video that will also work on my video editing software so that I can add the intro and youtube isn't accepting the mov and most converters suck so much ass. bad rant.

Anyway, enjoy.

Update: Wow! I got the daily first? That hasn't happened since VG Cats 2 (and it was a slow week back then). I'm floored at all the positive reviews and constructive critique and the fact that this is featured on EquestriaDaily.

Love you guys. Please forgive "Cupcakes" :P

@nerdking So because you haven't seen him in an alternate reality situation, which this obviously is, he would have had to regenerate. Derp number one. For example, there is another similar series that tosses the Doctor in with Twilight, and fun times ensue. In that one he does regenerate, but not before noticing he is now a pony. He explains in the 30 episode from that series about his theory on it, which involves a metal grate (assumingly one with little holes on it) and a random number generator implication. Any way. I agree with your review of this flash, and I listened to the original on youtube, all 4 parts, and I think you did a pretty good job with the whole thing. Intro or not.

Very good overall execution of what Dr.who would be like in this universe.
There is one problem with the script and that would be that the Doctor would obviously realize if he had regenerated into a horse, thats something he would very much notice right away.

the original plan was to have the beginning completely in first person from the doctors perspective, but that wasn't a feasible idea for my level of animation.

I think he is 10th am I right?
Beyond that I thonk it must be an parallel dimension that would explain him becoming a pony anyway I just loved it

Kinda neat. With minimal animation and only three or so backgrounds you managed to make an entertaining flash. Moreover, you managed to make an entertaining MLP flash that didn't have Spike.

Here's what I liked about it:
-The art was solid. Very clean and precise.
-The animations were good. Nothing too complicated, but decent for what was there.
-The audio was good. There was a difference in audio quality between the two voices which was mildly distracting, but by themselves each was decent.
-The idea is... Unique.

Here's what I didn't:
-I don't get how he was magically changed into a horse. I realize that it was the only way to keep the bit with the... Pen thingy that I can't remember the name for in there, but other than being a plot device I don't see how it made any sense.
-Spike is nowhere to be seen.
-The flash worked for a conversation and could have ended with him leaving, but I don't feel like it really set anything up for the next part. I just don't have that "I wonder what happens next!" feeling. Some subtle foreshadowing would be nice to keep viewers intrigued.
-Spike should be here but he isn't.
-Although the animation was fair for a "talking heads" situation, they really didn't move as much as they could have and they didn't interact with the environment at all, which caused sort of a boring disconnect between the characters and the background.
-There's a character named "Spike" who is the only good thing to ever come out of My Little Pony. You should have found a way to incorporate him.

Overall, this is a good flash with nice art and enjoyable writing, but more could have been done to set up what appears to be an inevitable sequel.

MikeandTreyVideo responds:

it seems most of the things you disliked pertain to how this was written which is not my department. The audio I used is actually a couple of years old, made when MLP was still building up steam.

You're right about the disconnection with the environment, and I'll try to do better next time.
