This is a fun little paddle based mini-game I whipped up for fun. I made the music for it too, nothing particularly special.
Use the mouse to control the paddle. Click to start the ball. Bounce the ball, dont let it fall. You earn points based on how many times you bounce the ball and how high the ball goes.
Your highest score is saved automatically.
To toggle the music on and off, click the button in the top right hand corner of the screen.

This is a really awesome mechanic you have going. I have but one complaint. It's too easy! ramp up the difficulty after a minute or two and you will have a deeper experience. Great job there is a lot of potential here :P

The graphics look very basic to me. They get the job done but I expected more in a such a basicgame, where the gameplay is already simple. The background is too plain. I would suggest a slow colourchange, maybe depending on the score or the speed of the ball. The paddle could look a little bit more detailed, same goes for the ball. As for the black squares, they should explode into little quares when you hit them, possibly with different colours.
Tip: The simpler the game is, the more you have to hide it with fancy eye candy. When I am amazed how many cool affects the author added, then I will overlook simplicity in other aspects.
I appreciate the effort of making audio for your game. Still, the loop doesn't sound good. The music is way too slow and repetitive for a a game that should be fast paced and action filled. What the music should be able to do is making me want to keep playing and to get motivated, which doesn't happen.Addition of the mute button is appreciated. You should also add sound effects for the ball, when it hits the paddle, the border and the black squares.
Suggestion: Use a faster paced song, maybe from another artist from Newgrounds. Best genre would be trance, to go well with a faster becoming gameplay.
Not much to say here. The physics seem to work fine. It would be good when the ball would constantly gain speed, though. As it is now, there is not much challenge. I was able to let the paddle stay in the right corner and the ball bouncing and got 9000 points that way while writing the audio part of the review.
High score system is okay but in one playthrough I was able to carry over my score from my last try.
Add things to make the gameplay faster and more varied. The ball should gain more speed. Maybe simple upgrades, positive ones and negative ones to make the whole thing more interesting. You can get some difficult situations where you would have to evade the negative skull orb that brings you a game over while trying to keep the ball in the air.
I knew that I would play a simple game. A simple game can be great and addicting, when all aspects are done well. That was not the case. There are many things that could have been done better. I also expected more things and mentioned them earlier. What you have now, is a good basic game. You should release an improved version in the future, which has atleast some of the improvements that I mentioned.

The graphics are indeed very basic. I was going for something very simple, you are right in pointing this out, I could have made something more advanced and looking better, but in this case I was trying to achieve simplicity. Like the YouTube or Google design. I will change this is the improved version.
The audio was handmade, Im not very experienced in making it and I hope to improve and the only way I can do this is by practicing :)
The gameplay was supposed to be extremely basic, I didnt want to be too padantic or go into too many details. One thing I actually didnt count on was the being able to get a high score by staying still, I will aim to fix this in the next version of the game.
I will owrk hard to improve on all of the above when I make the next version. Than kyou very much for your review!
I really love this game, I love the concept, but I wish I could use arrow keys, or maybe wasd [a/d] to control the paddle, my curser likes to get in my view. I also don't like that I'm graded on how high the ball goes, since I can't control that.
I may make another version where you can use the arrow keys. And you are graded on bounces and how high you can make the ball go. You can control that since you can bounce the ball off of the blocks that appear on screen (Which is effectively,why they are there). Thanks for the review!
i just click once at and 30 sec nothing happened also squares dont fit game i think u can make it more fun advice:
-more bounce and squares will destroy and rondomly genereted again
-no power up is blame man its 2012
theres no reason why nothing would have happened, so thats probably a problem with your computer. You misspelt "Lame" and I know its 2012 and in 2012 a mini-game is still a mini-game which is: A small, simple and minimalistic game typically continuous and with scores.
Frankly your grammar, capatilisation, spelling and shrorthand issues is incredibly annoying. Its a review system, not a YouTube commentbox. I appreciate the review, but you are terrible at writting them. It doesnt have to be long, but atleast well composed. Visit the Review Request Club in the C&C forum and learn how to write them better please.
