dys4ia is an autobiographical game about the period in my life when i started hormone replacement therapy. it's a story about me, and is certainly not meant to represent the experience of every trans person.

I am going to show my true feelings on the subject. I do feel it sad when someone like you is going through this. I can't begin to understand how or why you feel this way. But the thing I hate the most is giving us shit for not understanding or being able to accept you right away without knowing your situation. If you would be patient and give people time they would acccept you. You can't turn normal people into villans because they don't understand you right away. It justifies anything wrong they will say against you. We can't treat you as normal because your situation isn't normal. If telling off a stranger is the only way for you to get your self-esteem back then your doomed! But I still wish you happiness and success. I just think the message of this game needs therapy. This isn't an insult, it does help.

As a game, this stunk. However, as a story, I would have liked to have seen; more explanation into the reasoning behind your decisions, what other options there are available and why you chose to use a specific type of hormone replacement. I believe a lot is left unanswered. Questions that a viewer did not have going into the flash, but would pick up along the way.

Unlike a lot of people here I don't dislike this game because of some hatred of trans people. I dislike this 'game' because it's pseudo intellectual bullshit

Sadly, this is one of the most boring games I've played on Newgrounds in quite some time. There just isn't anything to it. Screens where there are no real obstacles, no choices to make in what you do or how you do it. No real sense of accomplishment. The oddly-colored visuals are nice, however. But the odd blabbering in the background gets annoying quickly. Also, the whole thing is rather confusing. What was your purpose in taking the hormones? What was wrong to begin with? What are you trying to attain, and what kind of hormone therapy was it? Not everyone knows those things off the top of their heads. Indeed, it seems like most people know little about different types of hormone therapy. The game should have at least explained it a bit.
