dys4ia is an autobiographical game about the period in my life when i started hormone replacement therapy. it's a story about me, and is certainly not meant to represent the experience of every trans person.

Dys4ria isn't so much of a game as it is an Interactive experience. It surely gives you a feeling of what it feels like to be a woman trapped in a man's body, and maybe even a man trapped in a woman's body. The gameplay is Relatively simple by just using the arrow keys to move the things in the game, such as a person or in one case, the sun. This is one of those experiences that someone should play when they have the time to. As for the Visual standpoint, it's a simple 8-bit looking game with a lot of colors. Although there was one point where the colors look almost felt eye hurting, such as the blue and Pink characters on a greenish yellow background. It's a Decent enough game to call an experience and if people get the chance to play it.

Really, really good. Great pacing and story telling. Thank you for putting in the effort to make this :)

Not only does this game have a nice (though odd (though fittingly-odd)) style, but it helped me gain some empathy for other people, and understand a bit more.

I hope that others will find this game interesting in the way I did, and I hope this reaches some trans people as well.

Apparently the most "intelligent" newgrounds users have not figured out the differences between sex and gender...

Anyways, this was a neat little experimental game and I really thought that it exposed me to how you felt. I have never had to struggle with my identity on a level the artist has, but I definitely felt that I got a slice of it.

Kudos on being able to reproduce the trapping feel of this predicament and how limited and irreversible life can seem some times.

We're proud of ya.
