dys4ia is an autobiographical game about the period in my life when i started hormone replacement therapy. it's a story about me, and is certainly not meant to represent the experience of every trans person.

Fascinating, powerful, and a great way to tell your story. Not heavy handed in any way, which I was worried about before hitting play. You used the medium extremely well to tell a simple and effective, personal story. Love the retro graphics and human-made sounds, as they showed how using simple materials can get a point across. Nice work, and good luck in your future as you continue down this path you've chosen!

Love it.

The non-gamer friends to whom I will show the game will most likely struggle, trying to use the mouse for a while. :)

This is a story, a very personal story, as much as it is a traditional game. It's a narrative that uses Warioware-like microgames as paragraphs. Very personal, from the narrative to the retro-themed visuals to the human-powered audio.
