dys4ia is an autobiographical game about the period in my life when i started hormone replacement therapy. it's a story about me, and is certainly not meant to represent the experience of every trans person.

This is fantastic: so simple, but so very effective. I don't really see any point in getting upset by questions of terminology; it uses the interactive medium to convey something thoughtful and beautiful and intensely personal, and that is an excellent thing to do.

I'm very disappointed with the other reviewers that are rating this based on their view of what a game is, when it's just the way Newgrounds categorizes content. They won't have a section called "interactive movies" or "experiences" because it would become confusing and difficult to categorize. I wish people would review and rate games if it was successful in doing what the creator set out to do, not what they feel it should or shouldn't be. That said, I really thought the way you conveyed your experiences through fragmented mini-games was a fantastic way to have the game itself tell the story and it allows the player to really connect with it, especially because it isn't something everybody goes through. The use of symbols (like the shield) really helps break down that barrier even more so. It was wonderfully abstract and understandable at the same time. Although the art style was rather cliched, the way you used colors really worked well. You told your story and you did it in a very unique and interesting way. Just, good job.

I really like it, I mean it wasn't like those art game who are boring and stuff, here you are telling using many game style for telling your story, that make me feel fascinate and make the game dynamic. And yeah, know game are another way to pass messages and make something who wasn't really "exciting" but "interesting" and it's cool.

Good luck for you and your new life Anna.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm not saying that i'm in the same pain as you were/are but I'm a gender-fluid/androgynous identified lesbian and a LGBTQA++ sister to you. Transitioning takes tremendous courage. Thank you for sharing your story <3
