dys4ia is an autobiographical game about the period in my life when i started hormone replacement therapy. it's a story about me, and is certainly not meant to represent the experience of every trans person.

Very interesting! And clever game design. Focusing on the many small annoyances and problems allowed me to empathize with your situation, despite the fact that I still can't imagine how it must feel to be born in the "wrong" body. Still the concept is less "alien" and "weird" than before playing (and thinking) about it.

I also don't want to critisize the simple gameplay. It didn't provide challenge or fun as much as it kept me in the flow and helped my usually erratic attention to stay focused on the topic. A job well done.

All in all a great example of how games (as a media) can provide more meaningful/deep experiences than the usual flash-game even aims for.

So simple yet so perfect! Fully expressive as possible as such "art games" must to be. I can only congratulate and praise your honesty. Surely you've helped people in similar situations.

Um so are you actually a man or a woman? I mean biologically Are you a really hairy lesbian, or a guy going to a girl?

Unlike other so-called 'art games', this game makes no effort to be all pseudo-philosophical, but is elegant in its sheer simplicity. Despite its focus on a beautiful personal story, the gameplay elements are still there, and remind me a little of the micro-games found in Warioware, for example. This is the best game I've played in a long time.
