medal speed run epic
WOOOHOOOO I GOT ALL THE ACHIEVEMENTS IN UNDER 20 MINUTES!!! (Challenge Complete!)
I had a hard time fully enjoying this cuz of all the platform glitches...not all parts of a platform would be solid. I would have done better if that was fixed. But yeah, a three cuz it was pretty fun.
Soundtrack shamelessly stolen from Guardian Legend (Crystal Sector theme, to be precise). Otherwise it's a fun game, but you should really give credit when you use someone else's work.
rediculously easy....saved up for the maxed magnet after like 3 rounds and after that i could get basically anything i wanted.
scores accumulate as well so this isn't a great high score game either (got the highest score of all time and didn't take long at all)
I did however, like this game better than most games like this. that being said, i wouldve really liked a jump button instead of a constant bounce
1 redeeming factor is the graphics...i happen to be a sucker for the whole pixel type thing.
some suggestions for the future if you plan to make another one:
1: make it harder, it was waaay too easy...i would suggest bringing the prices up for the higher magnets/thrusters/fuel
2: more stages, variety is the spice of life....and we gamers love it. even if it is just a background change and higher difficulty, we'll take it
3: make it open ended, and make the scores non-cumulative. I liked the ending you did with this...it was a tad funny, but after that it kinda sux. With games like this, the tendency is to push it as far as possible and see how far we can make it, thus the high score problem comes in. If you based your scores on a single run instead of adding the scores from all runs, it makes it more about skill and less about how much time you have to waste, wouldn't you agree?
so....ill give you a 3 because i did actually enjoy this game, but there are many aspects of this "quote" Polished addictive gameplay "unquote" that need some serious uuummm....polishing
good lick in the future, and despite my bad review i would like to see a #2 in the near future. =]
