Katawa Shoujo is a bittersweet romance visual novel where the reader roleplays as Hisao Necktie: a highschooler who has become afflicted with a heart condition that forces him to enroll at Yamaku, a school designed for physically disabled students. Hisao eventually copes with his new condition and regains a new outlook in life with the help of one of the five possible romantic interest; all crippled in some way or form.

Katawa Shoujo: Symphony of the Feminists is something completely different.

Did I mention you guys gave awesome reviews? The praises were great but the criticisms were even better, it lets me know exactly what players liked and hated. All other reviews I've read elsewhere are one line spams that are shit, but this? this is pure gold. Thanks for putting time into this.

RIPOFF. Maybe this would work as a modified rom, but it doesn't belong here.

Wow, great work.
It was a great game, but a greater message. I really liked the idea behind the novel, and the game you've made really does it justice. The end epilogue really had me lol'ing, and the message about the girls being abused sobered me up real fast. That's the kind of punch a message like that needs. Great job.
As for the game itself, I really don't see why its so difficult. But let me explain.
In the room before Lily, there are many torches and whatnot which can be destroyed, revealing items. The bottle and the boomerang-like object are both weapons that are more effective than the scarf attack.
Using these in conjunction against Lily is the key to victory.
Now, about her attack patterns. (This is the first boss only- I have yet to do the 'secret' path)
She has three attacks, which she teleports before deploying. The first is where she shoots three shots across the screen at Hisao, which can be destroyed but its easier to jump over them.
Next she will shoot two orbs, horizontally as well, which go high, then low. You need to jump the first, then duck the second. Pretty basic.
Finally, and this is probably her most powerful attack, Lily will summon meteor-like object that fall straight down, and the second wave strikes where the first wave missed, creating a seemingly un-dodgeable attack. Here's how you dodge, although its a bit tricky:
On the first wave, choose a meteor spot to jump onto, as early on the impact flames hurt, but as they die down they do no damage. Time your jump until the last moment before the second wave hits you, and you should be fine, as the waves do not overlap.
Before and after each attack is a slight window of time to do damage with the scarf or weapon, or if you are fast, both.
Her final trick is to darken the screen, and this is where luck comes in. Depending on how many weapons you've left, and your health, you need to basically spam attacks and hope to land, while dodging her attacks with less warning than initially.
All you need to do is study her movements. It took me three tries only.
Anyway, I really like this game, and I'm definitely going to support this visual novel!
I also would like to see more from you in the future. Overall the game was very smooth.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

There is no message behind this game at all, it was a complete play-on joke based on the game and the community. There are no deep messages, or abused girls, or any hint of seriousness. There's only Kenji being batshit insane and accusing everybody being feminists, while coming at the force of a thousand suns.

I think it's pretty great. I love the idea. I felt like I was fighting the controls more than intended difficulty however.

Desperately needs remappable keys. The controls are impossible for most of europe (Z is very far away from X and C)
