Everything is against you as you fight to survive by fending off bats and dragons and at all costs: avoid the lava below!

Winner of Kongregate's Games in Ten Days contest #24. Theme: Only One Level.

This game was inspired by two of my favorite games as a child: The Floor is Lava and Megaman 2 (specifically Heatman's stage).

This game is really addicting! Its loading screens can get annoying at times, BUT WHO CARES!? You get my 4 and a half stars sir.

Orandze responds:

Thank you very much! Yeah, Flixel's standard preloader gets real old, but I have my artist working on a custom one :)

Cool concept, I like the jumping mechanism. I would suggest adding some way to tell where the platforms may be coming and add varying sizes for added difficulty. Not sure what the water gun was about but everything I just suggested might be further into the game. I only played until the first checkpoint.

So again cool concept, but add something that captures early so people will play more than 45 seconds.

Orandze responds:

Thanks for your feedback! There's a shadow hint that shows where the next platform is going to be, but only on easy. The water gun can be used to stun bats to get them out of your way, extinguish fireballs from dragons, and stun dragons to keep them from shooting fireballs for a short time.

not much game play

Orandze responds:

I do apologize for this. Since it was for a contest and had to be completed in 10 days or less, I focused mainly on getting a solid polished game done. I did receive a lot of constructive feedback on it, all of which I plan to implement in a sequel. It will be a side-scroller with upgrades, more enemies, and much more dynamic controls. Thank you for your feedback and vote.
