NAME: Francois le Poupe
BIRTHDAY: November 2nd, 1941 (age 26, Scorpio)
OCCUPATION: Wannabe Actor
HOMETOWN: No one really knows, except its in France

EDIT: Surprised this got front page, I really didn't "feel it" as much as I did working on Revengineering... Go watch that instead! LOL jk

Francois le Poupe originally wanted to be an actor, but fails miserably. With his unusual power to pull off extremely effective disguises though, he finds an opportunity elsewhere...

Took about 50 hours, much more work than Revengineering, spread across about 3 weeks over Revengineering's 1 week. I focused more on storytelling this time over just matching a beat. I didn't extend to the whole song this time and the flash just shows an image until the end of the song just in case someone wants to listen to the whole song. The replay button doesn't work so when the music ends, that's it. You can't replay it. If I can fix it I'll change the file.

Song is "Chambermaid Swing" by Parov Stelar.

EDIT: JESUS FUGGIN CHRIST WHAT'S WITH THOSE DAMN WHITE LINES. They should be out of here but fuck, they WERE NOT there before!

EDITEDIT: I know you guys appreciate that I did put Twilight Sparkle in there, but please note that it is only a reference, and I'm not a fan of MLP: FiM. I do like putting in a reference to things that I know people will get a kick out of, and I like the fact that you guys think its funny.

Absolutely perfect performance of your skills as an animator, coupled with the story of a perfect actor turned perfect spy... THE spy. The combination of music and the progression from denied actor to famous backstabber is truely a work to be shared, and acknowledged by the TF2 homepage.

I preferred the other one to be honest. This animation is much more bent towards story telling than the style of Revengineering. The story is good yes, but telling a story through text is pretty cheap and I thought it was kind of overdone. Revengineering had that silent style that just worked, telling it's story entirely through the visuals without the need for text or voice acting. The long monologues and the loadout scene just dragged on and bored me. The animation was half decent but it got too complex at times, abandoning the simple shapes style that really made Revengineering's visuals work.

Generally I feel this animation has moved away from what really made Revengineering special. If your going to make another, which I really hope you do, please try to move back towards that style.

I completely agree. I felt that it would be necessary to try to tell a more interesting story, but I think it was too much the focus. The thing that made Revengineering better is that it was a combination of the beat and the animation, and not the story (although it was still there).

The biggest fault was that though the story was composed before the music was selected. Revengineering's story and storyboard was inspired by the music; this feels forced and uncomfortable because I forced this to match to a song that I thought would work. It caused frustration in me and I think that weakened my effort further.

Scout's movie that I'm currently working on (titled "A Year to Remember") returns to the beat of Revengineering. Like Revengineering and unlike this piece, the music inspired the story, not vice versa. I think that was my biggest problem and that the story inspired by the music is when this style truly shines.

Well it's nice, the music fits really good, but your animation is so weak.

While I didn't enjoy this as much as your other work under the name of "Revengineering" I still think you did a great job. The music, once again, fits perfectly with the animation, and this one has more of a story, which is pretty damn good. once again Parov's music impresses me.
The animation this time around seems a bit more "Simple" than Revengineering, but it still has that artistic feel that I love about these kind of flashes.
Once again, great work, and I'm looking forward to your Scout flash.
PS Is it just me or did I see Twilight in there?

I agree, this is the weaker of the two. I think the animation is too choppy and that's its major problem. This piece frustrated me, while Revengineering was fun.

Twilight is indeed in there. I wanted to throw in a reference like with Meowth and Spycrab.
