I had a dream just like this the other day, so I really enjoy the idea here, but the controls are a bit stiff. A bit more fine tuning and I think you could take this game really far.

There is a bug with the game, Its not taking up the entire Box, its only taking up like 1/4th of the play box and zooming in doesn't help it keeps staying the same size. and that's annoying for me since 1/4th of the play box is like 1/32 of my entire screen.

While this is a good game, in concept, it lacks a great deal of proper motor functions. For starters I could not get the light to come up at all several times. I didn't know if I could have one light then when that dies another, or multiple lights. The movement of the game is choppy, at best.
Overall its a good concept, but is severely flawed.

After all, I liked this approach, but it could have been more diverse, even more surreal.

To start with - the controls really are terrible. Character response time, the slipperiness of the feel, all fairly bad.
However, the game doesn't actually present much of a puzzle-type challenge. It can be viewed as more of a reflex test. The difficulty of accurate control may also schmoosh with the whole nightmare concept to provide ambiance.
The atmosphere itself was pretty good, but I think the black and blue color scheme did a lot to conceal some hurried artwork. I understand there may have been deliberate blurring and hunching to create that dreamlike feel, but I still think that more could have been achieved with effort rather than just smudging stuff so you can't see it clearly.
In terms of story, there really isn't much. It's a bad dream you have to repeat over and over till you get to the light so that you can wake up. There isn't so much as an effort to pretend to some deeper meaning, in contrast to most of the better art games on newgrounds.
I liked it, but I can't call it the best anything.
