Pulled into an unknown world, a young Wizard must master magical spells, fight dangerous enemies, gain powerful abilities, and search a mystical land in order to find his way home.
Arzea was originally created for a Ludum Dare 22 (a 48 hour game programming competition). The game was then extended to include more content and better music.
Control the wizard with the arrow keys or ASDW, and using your mouse to aim and shoot your spells. [Tab] or [Escape] will open the menu, [M] will open the map, and [Shift] will open the spell change wheel.

Imho game is superb, it's addictive and you don't know when your time run's out ( literally ).
Graphics - great, I really enjoy playing pixel-kinded stuff (^.^).
Music - is... hmmm ... thematic I think it's good for this game.
Map'n'stuff - Map is good. I've didn't occure any of problem with map i think it's well prepared. I like the thing about spells that you need different kind's of them to unlock pathways to speed, jump, health and mystical orbs. By the way those orbs work here like upgrades so if you wan't to be more "jumpy" you need to find jump orb. The main thing is that you think you could jump to the place higher above where the health orb is but noo you need more jump orbs : >.
Level's - Basically as in any other game. Fighting monster's , message pop up that you have new level.
Main Story - Hmm... there is something about wizard going to find his home but seriously i didn't even look up to this. When the exploring starts and finding orbs etc. I was much more engaged to that. Let's say that the story exist's nothing else : P.
And that's all. In the end i want only to say that it's really good game worth playing. Oh ofc it has his faults too. And it will be medals. I went all the game and unlocked only 3 medals ( wtf -_- ). Ehh i hope for the NG to have all games perfect in unlocking medals. Cya and enjoy (^.^)

A Metroid-vainia game in the best spirit!
The game was very complex and the areas were well designed. The enemies seemed a bit to generic at first but I did like how as you level up and gain abilities, some of the invincible monsters become quite vulnerable. some type of armor would have been nice even as a temporary or special use item.
I did however find a bit of a bug with the final boss battle, if you stand on the second tile in from the door, you can fire at the other wizard, but he won't fire back or come over to you to fight. The final boss is therefore in possesion of a "sweet spot" (not that that is a bad thing, but it does make it easier to beat him than I think you intended.)

Well constructed enough but the enemies respawn way too quickly and a more visible map would have helped as well.

Great game!! I think I only got to %87. Great fun, great concept. Regards from Argentina!! P.S.: I'm giving it 4.5 because there's no official walkthrough ( or at least that I know of). If there is one, please, contact me!!
