Thanks for all the positive reviews!
I was expecting the worst! Ill be sure to fix those two bugs, allowing wasd keys support, adding some audio, and overall create some more actual rage inducing levels!

A very simple looking game; it instantly appealed to me. I played all the way through to the credits and DID kind of want more levels. The level design is basic and it's very similar to other games I've seen/played. However, the black and white contrast (with colourful elements like the flame-throwing torchers and the death markers) really works, especially with the white eyes on the little guy you control. The death marker idea is great, I think. Solving puzzles by using up your lives could be a great idea to use in future games.

Well executed.

I found that this game was quite entertaining. Though the concept of an avoider game isn't very original, you managed to add onto the concept with a few unique traps and the addition of the death marker. Even so, there are some things that need improving/fixing.

I've noticed that there are no sound effects or music. Though sound effects aren't quite necessary, I feel the game would be much better if there was some music to go with it. It would also be nice if the player would be told whenever they reach a checkpoint.

Furthermore, I was bothered by the inability to move diagonally. Whenever I held two arrow keys down, I would simply stop moving rather than moving diagonally or at least continuing to move in the previous direction. In addition, the WASD keys were unusable in this game, and many people prefer using these over the arrow keys, so I'm sure some would appreciate it if the WASD keys could be used as well as the arrow keys.

Finally, I noticed a bug which needs to be fixed. If you die before the first checkpoint and are taken back to the very beginning, you cannot replay the game without closing and reopening it. This could be frustrating and times and needs to be fixed.

Zriku1 responds:

Yeah fixed those. Still no music yet sorry.

It needs music! (and fix a lil bug)

It is fun... but it has a bug: when i lose, it sends me to the 1st lvl... and when i try to go into the door, it'll send me again and again to the 1st lvl

Zriku1 responds:

Im on it.

Rage, there could be more

If inducing rage was your goal, well, you didn't succeed with me.

I do like this sort of game though, so here are some thing you can try to do/fix to make this better/more rage inducing:

Bug?
-When the little character moves, if you run up against a wall, sometimes you won't be flush with the wall, and moving toward the wall doesn't make you flush with the wall. That is slightly bothersome.

More rage:
There should be more parts which require precise timing. Since a lot of the stuff didn't require precise timing, I could just wing-it most of the time and make it through. I only died maybe...4 or 5 times in beating the whole thing.

New ideas:
-Different maps, different enemies, etc. You've probably thought about this a lot more than I have.

Overall, not too bad, and it has a lot of potential if you choose to continue it

Zriku1 responds:

For the bug: I have attempted many times to fix this, but when you run into a wall, it sends you back a bit, and the only way to get right up on it is to be very percise.

Bug

You can't restart after death.
Otherwise fine!

Zriku1 responds:

Yeah I fixed that.
