Hi everyone :) I'm super excited to finally be releasing the first part of Sol: Clockwork!
I've had more false starts, computer crashes, and total overhauls than I can recall working on this thing, but here it is! I've found my original plans for the game were lot bigger than what you can really put in one .swf file, so now the game is broken into episodes. Whether or not the rest of those episodes get made sorta depends on how this is received and how much time I've got to work on it... so we'll see!

Of course, many thanks are due to all my friends and family who've helped me every step along the way... thanks guys!

Also! the game features awesome original music by Thomas Sharp-Gagnie, for which I'm very thankful. I think it really adds a lot to the game. There's a link in-game to his myspace page if you like it, although I don't think he's updated it in a long time.

Enjoy!

>Issues with Void & Spectral Ray doing infinite damage and selling weapons should now be resolved! Thanks for doing my bug testing :P

>Issues with parry and two-turn enemy attacks should be resolved.

>Quality buttons added.

Wooo front page :) Thanks everyone!

The game is nice but there are lots of bugs. It should be repaired.

I think the combat was something that could have been done better. If you want to see a "button-press combat" that works, look at Legend of Dragoon for the PS1. Not saying you have to be up to the same standard, but it's just a source of possible inspiration for your next game.

Graphics were ok, could have been better.

I had a hard time setting my spells, because I wasn't sure which ones did what. Maybe if you had a spell explanation, like "Does light fire damage" or something, it would be better.

With all that said, I enjoyed the experience, and I hope to see part two soon. :)

combat feels really clunky. not a fan of using a button press for blocking and combos. cool graphics though
